Once you have created and assigned a lesson plan to a student, you can now assign lesson plan items to a certain day or span of days.
How to read this page: In this view, you will see a calendar on the left, and a student column on the right. Switch between students using the dropdown box in the upper right corner of the student column.
All of the lesson plans assigned to that student will appear in the column. Click on the small triangle next to each lesson plan to show all of the un‐used assignments.
Scroll through the calendar by using the left and right triangles in the upper calendar tool bar.
To assign an assignment to a day: Click on the assignment in the student column and drag it over to the appropriate day on the calendar.
Once an assignment is moved to the calendar, it is considered used and disappears from the student column. This way you can always see which assignments have not yet been scheduled.
To make one assignment apply to multiple days: Drag the assignment to any day on the calendar, then click on the assignment to open a dialog box that will allow you to change the start/end dates.
To auto-assign all the assignments from a lesson plan or plans: Click on the “Auto Assign” button at the bottom of the page. A pop-up will appear.
Follow the prompts to enter the date for the first assignment and choose whether you want to assign by number of days (daily) or days of the week (weekly).
Choose which lesson plans will be assigned to the chosen days and click “complete.” If you don’t like the way the assignments were assigned, immediately select “Undo” from the “Edit” menu in the topmost toolbar, and the assignments will be removed.
To remove an assignment from the calendar: Click and drag it back to the student column.
To change what day you want to do an assignment: Click and drag it to a different day.
To bump assignments forward: If life interferes with your homeschool plans, or if you just need to adjust your schedule, use the “Bump Assignments” button to move a whole group of previously scheduled assignments forward.
A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter the first date of the assignments you wish to move forward. Then enter the number of school days you wish to move ahead the assignments. This means that if you only do school on Mondays through Fridays, and want to move all of your assignments ahead one week (Monday to Monday, Tuesday to Tuesday, etc.), enter “5” as the number of school days to move forward.
Select which lesson plans you wish to bump ahead, and click “complete.” If you don’t like the results, immediately select “Undo” from the “Edit” menu in the topmost toolbar.
